2017 NECA Convention

Getting a Registered Press List

We’ve been inundated with requests for the registered press list for NECA 2008 Chicago, so we’ve included the list to date below. Please note, many reporters do not pre-register for the program. Members of the press receive free registration to all educational events and the trade show, but many have specifically requested not to be contacted by exhibitors prior to the NECA Show, so they aren't included in this list. Rest assured that we will direct reporters covering the events to the Show floor and exhibitors for any questions they may have about products or services.

Make sure you put together press kits and a table tent for your company to leave at the “Take One” table in the Media Center. It’s the first stop for anyone looking for information or trying to locate a source.

Getting the Word Out

We're expecting more than 5,000 NECA Show-goers for the opening on Sunday, Oct. 5, so be prepared for lots of traffice at your booth that day!More than 2,200 electrical professionals are registered to attend both the NECA convention and trade show, but we’re still reaching out for any last-minute Chicago-area attendees and industry leaders who can take advantage of everything NECA 2008 Chicago offers.

1) Exhibitor Press Releases: Kudos to those exhibitors who are taking advantage of the Exhibitor Press Release postings on our website, www.necaconvention.org. Exhibitor Press Releases are the best way to let folks know about what your booth at the NECA Show will feature and how attendees can reach you either before or after the event.

2) Attendee E-News: Read the full archive of our bi-weekly e-newsletter for registered and prospective attendees online. This has been a great tool to reach out to trade media as well, especially since they get to attend all sessions free of charge. Consider presenting a technical workshop at NECA 2009 Seattle to draw more media attention to your company.

3) Email Adverts: We just did our last blast email to several trade magazines’ subscriber lists, recruiting new attendees for NECA 2008 Chicago. See examples of the advertisements online.

Sponsor Dos and Don’ts

Everyone who attends NECA 2008 Chicago knows that most of the best things about the event are made possible through generous sponsorships from our exhibitors. We made special effort to recognize our sponsors throughout the months leading up the NECA Show and during the event.

But we can’t include your company as a sponsor or recognize your contribution until you follow through on your generous pledge. So please, make sure you’ve taken care of all the paperwork and payment so your company will receive the credit and recognition you deserve at NECA 2008 Chicago!

We’re always interested in hearing new sponsorship ideas, so please let us know if there’s a specific event or activity your company would be interested in contributing to NECA 2009 Seattle.
