Description:

There is little doubt that NFPA 70E continues to grow in acceptance and popularity in the electrical industry as has quickly become the de facto electrical safety standard. This course is targeted towards electrical contractors, safety professionals, electricians and their supervisors, and will explore the most significant changes in the 2009 edition of NFPA 70E and how these significant changes impact the electrical contracting industry.

Speaker Bio:

Palmer Hickman is the Director of Code and Safety Training and Curriculum Development for the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Electrical Industry (NJATC). Palmer represents the industry on the NFPA 70E Technical Committee, the National Electrical Code Technical Correlating Committee, Code Panel 1 of the NEC, and the NFPA 70B Technical Committee. In addition, he is an OSHA Master Instructor for Construction; an OSHA authorized Outreach Trainer for Construction and General Industry, and a 30-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Please note that every state handles licensure and continuing education credits differently. To avoid confusion, NECA strongly recommends you check with your state authority whether they will grant these CEUs for management education programs held at NECA 2009 Seattle.
