Date: Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Description:

Speaker Bio:

Lake Coulson is the Executive Director, Government Affairs for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Government Affairs serves as the ‘voice’ of the industry on Capitol Hill and throughout Washington on executive branch issues. NECA works extensively with the White House, Congress, and federal regulatory bodies to help the nation’s leaders understand the concerns of electrical contractors from across the country. Coulson is working to expand NECA’s legislative portfolio; increase the number of grass roots/key contacts; and secure $1.5 million in contributions during the 2008 election cycle for NECA’s Political Action Committee (ECPAC). Coulson has nearly 15 years of experience working in construction/appliance related trade associations. He came to NECA from the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association (PHCC). Prior to PHCC he was at the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) where he worked on industry positions and strategies regarding implementation of the Energy Policy Act of 1992, the Clean Air Act, and several international environmental treaties.

Please note that every state handles licensure and continuing education credits differently. To avoid confusion, NECA strongly recommends you check with your state authority whether they will grant these CEUs for management education programs held at NECA 2009 Seattle.
